Dr. Tarr is the best. I had CMC joint replacement in my right hand. Only 3 months postop and I have shaved off 3 strokes from my handicap. 🥳🥳

Dr. Tarr is wonderful. He did my should replacement last Thursday. I barely have any pain and have not needed to take any medication. Once this one heals I plan to have the other one done

First time at Ortho NC and Dr Tarr was incredibly helpful with diagnosis as well as treatment plan.
Dr. Ryan Tarr attended the University of New England with high honors in Biology. He then attended and received his Doctor of Medicine from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. His postdoctoral training includes residencies at the Kettering Medical Center working at Grandview, Southview, and Kettering hospital's specializing in orthopedic surgery. After his residency, he completed his fellowship at Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center specializing in hand surgery.
Dr. Tarr relocated to North Carolina in 2020 after completing his fellowship. He specializes in general orthopedic surgery, elbow surgery, hand surgery, and shoulder surgery. He is board eligible with the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, ASSH, American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, AAOS, and American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, AOAO. Dr. Tarr currently resides in the Triangle area with his family.
