Dr. Ryan Riggs, M.D., is a board-certified and fellowship-trained Sports Medicine Physician. He earned his medical degree from Florida State University and completed his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. A graduate of the University of Florida, he completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute. He specializes in regenerative medicine and the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions across the spine and extremities.

Dr. Ryan Riggs, M.D., is a board-certified and fellowship-trained Sports Medicine Physician specializing in the treatment of various musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions and injuries of the upper extremities, hip, knee, foot and ankle, as well as the spine.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Florida and his medical degree from Florida State University.
Dr. Riggs completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina before pursuing a specialized Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, AL.
In addition to his previous experience as an Urgent Care Physician in Birmingham, Dr. Riggs served as the Team Physician at Homewood High School and assisted in coverage as a Fellow for Samford University Athletics and the Birmingham Barons baseball team.
Dr. Riggs’ clinical interests include the use of regenerative medicine, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapies, to manage orthopaedic injuries. His innovative approach to sports medicine allows his patients to focus on returning to their daily lives with minimal downtime while receiving the best care possible.
