Dr. Ryan Nobles is excited to join the team at Southeastern Spine Institute in the Pain Management Department. He is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. For the last four years, Dr. Nobles has served as an assistant professor and physician in the chronic pain management clinic at the Medical University of South Carolina. His main clinical interests include spinal cord stimulation and dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation as innovatively new treatments for a variety of pain conditions. He also employs injection therapy for all areas of spinal pain and medication management when necessary.
Dr. Nobles has authored several book chapters and published articles on topics ranging from appropriate opioid prescribing to interesting case studies involving spinal cord stimulation. In addition, he has taught courses to other physicians on a variety of pain procedures at national and regional conferences.
EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND
Dr. Nobles completed his Bachelor of Arts at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC and then obtained his Medical Doctor degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He remained at MUSC to complete a residency in anesthesiology where he was awarded the Resident Research Award and then traveled to Emory University to complete a fellowship in pain medicine.
He has been a primary investigator on multiple research projects and plans to continue innovative research in pain treatments while at Southeastern Spine.

I have been going to Dr Nobles for 4 years now. He has been wonderful in my journey with my back. He is innovative and smart and compassionate. He cares to get me out of pain he tries new techniques to help me. He works totally with me he remembers my family my journey to getting here and I feel like he really cares about me. He’s a wonderful doctor and what I like best with him is he tries new things newer injections and I feel like he is with me on this journey.
