My friend had a great experience with Dr Geringer several years ago when she had her hip operated on. That is the only reason I came to him for my knee. My original orthopedic doctor has retired. Within 5 min of finishing having my X-rays taken he is in the room telling me that I have no cartilage, arthritis and need a knee replacement. He rough housed my knee so much that I was wincing in pain. I suggested we start somewhere less evasive than knee replacement so he said we’d try a steroid shot and zoomed out the door. When he came back in I’d had enough time to get over the shock of his brashness and after he gave me the steroid shot, I started questioning him about how the sudden onset of the pain could be from no cartilage and arthritis and he said, “Well, you may have a torn meniscus but with no cartilage it wouldn’t really help to scope you.” And once again he was gone.
On a positive note he did give a great steroid shot, I heard they really hurt and I barely felt it.
