I had been having shoulder issues for over a year and was told by a prior sports Dr that I just had an impinged shoulder blade. He sent me to physical therapy which only aggravated the pain.
I requested a second opinion from my primary doctor. He recommended Dr Nelson.
I actually saw Madison (Dr Nelson’s PA) prior to Dr Nelson and she recommended an MRI to see what was causing the problem. The MRI found that I have a ligament that is torn completely in half. After having a follow up appointment to review the options with Dr Nelson, we both agreed that surgery was absolutely necessary. If I hadn’t gone to Dr Nelson my injury would have gotten worse and been unrepairable.

Seems to be a good doctor but didn't spend enough time to get to know him

Very personable and listens to you. My physical therapist referred him to me and said he would be the only Dr she would allow to cut on her.

Took time listening. Thorough exam and explanation. Discussed further treating options. Dr. Nelson is the standard by which all other orthopedic doctors should be judged. Look no further.

He didn't explain it to where I can understand the situation with logic. First off I do know that my arm was hurt from a shot I never had problem with it until I got the covid shot for the 6th time which the pharmacist said was too cold when he put it in because it hurts so bad. I went home in 2 hours later I couldn't move my arm it took me exactly a month and a week or so to get in to see the specialist after I got the MRI. I am still wearing a sock he did not even offer me any type of compression bandage is what I needed but I don't know where to get those? So I had a compression sock on my arm and that's the way he left it. He got me physical therapy and I'm still waiting for them to set it up. I have given them the information. And they have been real helpful at the office this is a great place it's just the doctor doesn't seem to understand what I'm trying to tell him. I believe a flu shot in a covid shot are the same thing basically they're both flu shots. Why would one's affect
