Dr. Ryan Aschenbrener is a board-certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). A Wisconsin native, he earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin before completing medical school at the University of Cincinnati. During his PM&R residency at the University of Virginia, he served as co-Chief Resident, which furthered his interest in musculoskeletal injuries and recovery. He then completed a NASS-accredited Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine fellowship in Washington, DC.

Dr. Aschenbrener performs a full range of fluoroscopic X-ray and ultrasound-guided procedures, including spine, joint, and soft-tissue injections: platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections; and radiofrequency ablation. He also performs advanced procedures, including spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, kyphoplasty, and basivertebral nerve ablation. During clinic visits, he pairs procedural options for pain relief with individualized plans for long-term functional improvement, including physical therapy and lifestyle modifications.
Outside of work, Dr. Aschenbrener enjoys cycling the Greenway trail with his wife, weight training, playing guitar, and playing pickleball. He is an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Formula 1 Racing, and the Carolina Hurricanes.
