I felt as though my visit was a huge waste of my time. I have struggled with insomnia for 20 years!! He literally told me to stop drinking caffeine (1 coffee a day- nothing else) and go to bed later in the evening. He also said it sounds like I need a psychiatrist not a sleep specialist. He was not interested in hearing anything that I've tried already for sleeping. He and a younger resident were talking in the hallway before they walked in to the exam room about my medicines and how "of course she's not sleeping". However, he did say that if my insurance will approve an in house sleep study for a cpap machine, I can try that and if not, I just need to study good sleep hygiene on google. Should I mention that I have already been tested for sleep apnea and do not have it? He didn't seem to care.

Dr. Kitch is fantastic. He prescribed the pressure for my CPAP and it is now under control with no episodes after 1 month! I highly recommend him.
