Dr Melvin is the best in my opinion. He explains everything so you have complete understanding. I trust him to look after my cardio needs!
My experience with Dr. Melvin Ross was extremely disappointing. As a new patient transferring patient, I expected a more thorough and thoughtful approach to my care. Instead, the visit felt rushed, dismissive, and unprofessional. When I asked questions about visceral fat, inflammation, calcium scoring, and insulin resistance, I was not taken seriously. Rather than addressing how these factors impact heart health, he repeatedly stated that he is “just a cardiologist” and redirected me to other providers, including a hematologist and my primary care physician. He also blatantly stated that it’s easier to just manage medication, which was very concerning to hear as a patient seeking answers about my health. What was concerning to me is this: how can a cardiologist effectively treat a patient without considering how the rest of the body is functioning? The body operates as an integrated system in which multiple organs work together to maintain overall function.

They are an exceptional DR/Nurse pair and have brought both my husband and me to a healthy health. Highly recommend The Heart Institute . Front office and techs are very accommodating and skillled at their jobs.
