I was scheduled for surgery 9.13.23. I arrived on Time 10;15, 5 minutes after arriving I was told there was a coding issue but the office was calling my insurance company. 2 hours & 45 minutes later 2 staff members called me to the back to say they couldn’t do surgery today as the doctor did not sign off on one of the 3 procedures taking place and they couldn’t get my insurance to approve then they say it may be because the hurricane 2 weeks ago then they say insurance company are horrible that this has happened 4 times today! So they sent me home! I have a letter from insurance with authorization number and 3 codes for each procedure the insurance company has called all day for 2 days and no one returns calls I have paid my copay of $325. No one has called to apologize or reschedule my surgery, again I have approval lette, you have my money! The insurance company say no one has called them about my account since Aug 23rd they have advised to do a grievance report can someone assist?

Dr. Levit is not the stereotypical doctor/surgeon , his bedside manner immediately reads, ‘trustworthy’. Most doctors don’t shake a patient’s hand. Dr. Levit shook my hand! Thats a sign of trust, and I immediately felt that I could trust Dr. Levit as a person and medical doctor. Furthermore, his smile and tone of voice are as genuine as his medical knowledge and treatment plan.

He was short and dismissive. He didn’t even ask about my left arm. Gave me a dime size pinch plaster when he put the soft cast back on. He didn’t ask about my pain levels. He was upset about the lack of mobility in my right hand and proceeded to force the fingers to bend. I have been in physical therapy before and that was too much for fingers that have been mostly immobilized for three weeks. No exercises nor instructions were given in writing for what I was supposed to do after surgery. My caregiver was with me after surgery to take notes on anything needed. Next to nothing was mentioned. Particularly nothing about full mobility is expected.

Dr. Levit is excellent. He performed a very successful surgery on one of my wrists a few years ago, and now that I am experiencing issues with my other wrist, I will go to no-one else.

I didnt see Dr. Levit until after my visit with his new assistant. His asst. was very rushed on my initial injections out of the three I received for inflammation. However after me telling him about it he did better. But my hand is hurting worst than when I went in. Better patient care.
