Ronald H. Fields, MD

Dr. Ronald H. Fields, M.D., provides preventive cardiology care, diagnostic testing, interventional procedures such as angioplasty and stenting, cardiac rehabilitation, and ongoing management of chronic heart conditions.

Compassion, communication, and collaboration are at the center of Dr. Fields’ care, as he works with each patient to develop a personalized treatment plan that meets their unique needs and goals. He empowers patients to take control of their own health by educating them about their conditions and involving them in the decision-making process. Throughout decades of practice, he has been grateful for every opportunity to be a part of his patients’ journeys to better cardiovascular health.

Dr. Fields earned his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University Milton S. Hershey College of Medicine. He performed his residency in internal medicine at the Letterman Army Medical Center at the Presidio of San Francisco before completing a fellowship in cardiology, also at Letterman. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology.

Dr. Fields served seven years with the Army Medical Corps, attaining the rank of major. In addition, he has led or been involved in dozens of clinical research trials.
