His philosophy of care is that pain is only one sign of an underlying disease. Moreover, chronic pain is a sign that the current/past treatments are not helping. The use of narcotic and non-narcotic pain medications, as well as appropriate procedural interventions should be individually considered for each patient and can be used as a means to buy time for the source of the pain to be identified, and ultimately best treated. For those times that the source of the pain is well-known and has been treated as well as possible, then the ongoing use of medications and procedures becomes an option to allow continued/preserved function.

Remarkable doctor. I have had continued success with the treatment for my lower back which I have received from Dr. Boeding over the past several years. He’s understanding, compassionate, very knowledgeable, and shows a genuine interest in his patients and their needs. He explains exactly what he plans to do to help with the pain one is experiencing and also presents other possible options if treatment isn’t as effective as we had hoped. He always responds when I message him and fits me into his schedule if I need an appointment. He goes above and beyond in his care for his patients. I completely trust him with my care. Sue McDowell
He talked about possibly tapering my pain meds in next few months which I did not agree w/ but needed to talk w/ my other doctor who has tx'd my SCI since it began, to see if he could talk w/ Dr Bodien about not doing that.. He had cut my medication in half immediately w/o letting me know he was doing so. It was not appropriate or ethical, for the nerve pain I will always have to deal with. He did the opposite of what we discussed in the appt.. I have tried to talk with his office about having him call me but he never seems to get the message that he needs to call me!
Dr Boeding is excellent. Takes time and explains things good. I also had the BEST Rep from Biotronik! We talked ever day and kept tweaking the stimulator until it was perfect. From an average of 8 or 10 to a 2 or 3 for pain. I am so impressed.
Very professional. Didn’t rush us. Gave us time to ask our questions.
Dr Boeding took the time to explain the procedure and the potential outcomes towrd pain management. Very knowledgeable and personable.
Dr. Boeding was incredibly kind and warm when we met. He explained what care I needed in detail, answered questions and took time so I didn’t feel like I was rushed. I am very excited to know he will be helping me on my recovery journey.
We have a history of him giving me shots
