He obtained his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and post-baccalaureate pre-medical studies at Rutgers University - Newark, NJ. He received his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ. Dr. Avraham completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Flushing Hospital in Queens, NY and then pursued residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Temple University/Moss Rehab in Philadelphia, PA. Following his residency, Dr. Avraham completed fellowship training in Interventional Pain at Arizona Pain Treatment Centers in Phoenix, AZ, where he was trained in the use of minimally invasive, maximally effective interventional procedures.
Dr. Avraham has comprehensive training and experience performing a number of fluoroscopically-guided spine procedures such as nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablations and epidural steroid injections to manage and treat neck and low back pain. In addition, he is trained and proficient in the use of ultrasound imaging for musculoskeletal injections including peripheral joints, peripheral nerve blocks and myofascial and tendon injections including the use of regenerative medicine therapies such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate Stem Cells (BMAC).
His philosophy is to use a patient-centered and multimodal approach to help patients achieve the best quality of life and highest level of function. Working closely with patients and drawing on his background in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, he focuses on the use of conservative treatment options including minimally invasive interventional procedures, therapies and medications to provide patients with the best outcomes.
