Roman Takasaki, MD

Dr. Roman Takasaki, M.D., finds immense joy in helping families understand that disease prevention leads to greater long-term health and happiness than focusing solely on a cure. He attributes much of his own life's joy to the healthy lifestyle he strives to maintain, principles he has integrated into his patient care throughout his 25-year career.

An avid enthusiast of outdoor physical activity, Dr. Takasaki is a dedicated runner, biker, climber, wakeboarder, and cross-country skier. He often encounters his patients enjoying the recreational opportunities in Utah, having personally completed the last 10 St. George Marathons, three Boston Marathons, and the 206-mile Logan to Jackson Hole bike race twice.

He grew up in Provo, earned a degree in Microbiology from Brigham Young University (BYU), and graduated from the University of Utah’s medical school in 1987 with Honors in Family Practice. Dr. Takasaki completed his internship and subsequent residency in 1990 at St. Alphonsus, St. Luke, and the VA Medical Center in Boise, ID. He expresses a deep affection for Spanish Fork, proudly calling it home.

Dr. Takasaki is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He is affiliated with the Utah Medical Association, Utah County Medical Society, and the American Academy of Family Practice. His professional mission is to share the goals of healthy living and disease prevention with his patients, encouraging annual wellness exams to discuss current health and future aspirations, ultimately striving to help them make their lives as good as they can be.
