I was taken to the exam room, given the paper drape, then the nurse(?) left with my list of meds. It was at least 10 minutes before the doctor came in. I also had brought the progress notes and lab test results from another urologist seen 6 months earlier. Dr Rivera picked up the paperwork, left the room, and when he returned at least 15 minutes later, he never mentioned any of that information. He did not seem interested in me as a person. He did not ask if I had any questions, gave no details about what he observed during the exam, did not express any empathy or acknowledge the difficulty in living with my issues. Upon leaving the exam room, I had to ask a nurse(?) if the urine sample tested negative, and if I could have back my paperwork, which was lying in the seat of an empty chair in the hallway. He does have a cheerful smile and demeanor, as a positive in the experience.
