This was my 3rd visit with Dr. Brenneman and I find him to be friendly, going over my history and x-rays, explaining my options and answering my questions without me feeling rushed. After a steroid injection in my hip, 6 weeks of physical therapy I have now opted for a hip replacement and am waiting for a surgical date. I will see him again before surgery and trust him completely.

I came to De Brenneman for a second opinion. I am very pleased with his honesty. There is a problem with my knee replacement (which was done twice at another practice) and after several tests he prefers that I consult with another surgeon in his practice because of the complexity. I appreciate that he isn't willing to just cut me open without my best interests in the matter.

The best of the best. My husband had seen another Dr. from UPMC and after a meniscus repair last June, he went from walking to a walker in a matter of about a month. The Dr. from UPMC offered nothing more but a knee replacement. First, my husband had a visit with Dr. Horning who is as good and well- respected by both of us. He took and x-ray and found a fractured tibia in the process of healing, a tore miniscus tear and a a acl tear as well.Dr. Horning referred him to Dr. Brenneman suggested a knee replacement and to realign the knee. Also, my husband's left leg had swelled up to three times it's normal size which began after the first surgery mentioned in the first sentence. My husband was in severe pain. Dr. Brenneman completed the knee replacement with modifications in December. My husband said when Dr. Brenneman completed the surgery, his pain level dropped significantly!! We have the highest praise for Dr. Brenneman and Dr. Horning, with whom I sent my medical records to as well.
