Finally, A doctor that relieved my 30 year Long piriformis pain! I needed my left hip replaced and during the surgery Dr Lugo released my piriformis muscle that had been in a spasm for 30 years. I was finally able to get off narcotics. He is the best.!!!

Dr. Lugo is overworked and understaffed. He actually had to call me into his office himself because there was no one else to do it. He has no PA at the moment, and appointments are six weeks in between. Although he is a competent doctor, I am concerned that he may not be the best to deal with my current situation based on his lack of staff .

Everyone was great!

I have absolutely not complaints. Dr Lugo did a total right hip on me. I am three months post op and I’m much better. No pain. I’m walking and doing my water aerobics now as well. And oh yes… biking.

Alex his assistant is great.

Dr Lugo was doing everything possible to try and help me avoid a total knee replacement. But when he determined there was no other option, he explained why and what we needed to do to resolve the issue. The surgery has been a huge success even though it was 12 days ago. The results are better than expected due to his knowledge and abilities as a surgeon, and his strong push for good physical therapy post surgery. He is very gifted and if I have to go back for the other knee I have no hesitations. His PA was very helpful along the way, and Crystal was outstanding when removing the staples. She is an angel!!

Removed full right knee . Repaired right and 2 weeks ago repaired my left rotator cuff . I am 72 years young and Dr. Lugo works his gifted talent so that I can continue paying 3rd base in a league level . Could Coastal sponsor one of the teams ?

Dr Lugo is well known to me after 2 very successful superpath hip replacements … my problems at this visit are related to a new concern , the hips are still in excellent alignment , etc after 5 yrs on the left and 4 1/2 on Right . Dr Lugo is FABULOUS. He is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. His patient care and interactions with his patients are exemplary. Both my hubby and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr Lugo.

He is a great person as well as doctor. He did my Achilles 2 years ago and I was sold. I always went to Northwestem in Chicago due to connections in Orthopaedic doctors. 10 surgeries . Dr. Lugo has the ability to make you feel good as a patient.

He took the time to answer my questions and help me understand the results of my CT Scan.

A kind and considerate doc who despite being very busy gives each patient the care they need. Along with a detailed explanation. Does not have his eyes glued to the computer like many of todays docs. Also did a great job on my wife's total hip. Treating my knees and right shoulder now conservatively. Always delighted to see Dr. Lugo.

Dr Lupo is great and spends a lot time with each patient but he has too many patients scheduled . I waited an hour to see him today and 90 mins the first time I was there . It’s very inconsiderate to keep people waiting that long .

Dr. Lugo has amazing bedside manner which I find unfortunately rare today in the medical profession. He is genuinely kind, attentive, caring, and takes the time to explain everything going on in your case. I made him aware of my concerns about shoulder surgery and the impact on my life as a single father of a young active boy and he was empathetic and planned accordingly. I would recommend Dr. Lugo to any family and friends with orthopedic issues.

The office personnel were wonderful but I cannot rate Dr. Lugo as I have never seen him. My 2 visits were provided by his physician assistants. Both were very helpful.
