Dr. Robert G. Woodrome, M.D., is a sixth-generation Texan who finds his roots buried in the soil of San Augustine County. He considers himself a very proud Texan, which was inherited from his grandmother, Alma, who was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. He lives by the mantra "never do anything you have to say you are sorry for," which was a lesson that was taught to him by his grandfather when he was a young boy.
As a doctor, Dr. Woodrome serves his patients with deep humility, a trait he learned from the great doctors of his past who preached the meaning of being a healer. He recalls fondly Dr. Pestana from Medical School and all of his "elevator diagnosis" to Dr. Red Duke, who inspired strength and determination. He proudly serves his community, be it from the battlefields of Afghanistan as an Army Physician, giving aid during Hurricane Harvey, to saving lives throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Rob will always be there for his patients, no matter what tomorrow brings.
