Dr. Robert Wertheimer received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. After medical school, Dr. Wertheimer completed a three-year residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He became board-certified in Internal Medicine and a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and earned the distinction of scoring in the top decile of physicians nationwide.
Dr. Wertheimer completed three additional years of advanced training specializing in medicine and surgery of the eyes at Nassau County Medical Center in New York where he also served as chief resident.
