Dr. Standring was raised in the Chicago area and did his training in Detroit at Henry Ford Hospital. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He is actively involved in teaching his colleagues and students, is on staff at Oakland University and Michigan State University School of Medicine. He is a site director of the Ascension Otolaryngology residency program. He is the current President of the Michigan Otolaryngology Society. He is a consultant for Stryker and gives national and international lectures on sinus and ear-related topics. Dr. Standring has published multiple articles and book chapters in the medical literature. He is currently on the national Board of Governors Society Engagement Committee. Dr. Standring has participated in multiple foreign surgical/medical mission trips including Kenya and Vietnam.
Dr. Standring practices all aspects of otolaryngology (ENT). He has a special interest in ear and hearing disorders and surgery, hearing and hearing aids, nose and sinus disorders, pediatrics disorders (ear infections, tonsils, and tubes), snoring and sleep apnea surgery, and voice disorders. Dr. Standring welcomes all inquiries about his training, skills, and areas of special interest.

I brought my mother there. I have been there a couple of years prior and I was so pleased with him. He has a beautiful personality as well as the staff. He was very comforting to talk to and made us both feel very reassuring. What an excellent doctor we need more like him and the staff there are beautiful. My mom was completely completely satisfied.

Waited 1 hour after appointment time and had wrong patient chart went brought to patient room.
Great Doctor. He gave me lots of information. However, trying yo schedule an appointment in Macomb can be a headache.
Everything was explained in detail. The diagnosis and the surgery and the postop care.
Love your office staff. So pleasant and friendly and helpful.
Dr. Standring put me at ease as I was very scared at first not knowing what to expect. He was very patient, reassuring, and thoroughly listened to my explanation. He showed care and compassion throughout my visit. He cured the constant ringing in my right ear and I highly recommend him to anyone with ear issues.
