Dr. Robert Stchur is known as "the Shoulder Guy." He regularly performs over 400 shoulder surgeries a year. He joined Advanced Orthopedic Center in 2004. Originally from Michigan, he earned his medical degree, with honors, from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit and completed his residency at the University of Michigan. Dr. Stchur also pursued a sports medicine fellowship at the Lake Tahoe Sports Medicine Program. He specializes in arthroscopic shoulder surgery.
Dr. Stchur serves as a team orthopedic consultant for the Tampa Bay Rays and team orthopedic surgeon for the Charlotte Stone Crabs. He is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
In his free time, Dr. Stchur is an avid fisherman and he particularly enjoying spearfishing.

Evaluated me and determined I needed to see a Doctor Who specialize in cervical issues. Didn’t charge me for the visit and set me up with another doctor in his practice. Very classy.!
Dr. Stchur was very personable and made me feel very comfortable. He was very professional and I was impressed by his kind and compassionate demeanor. I hope to have him repair my shoulder when the time arises. He listened to what I had to say and let me know exactly where I stood with my injury. It was a pleasant experience.
Answered all my questions thoroughly and to my satisfaction. Was very nice, and the whole experience was quite pleasant today.
Dr. Stchur gave me an injection and some sound advice about my shoulder.
