He seemed arrogant. He talked a lot about himself. He did not listen to the patient.

My previous experiences with Dr shellman have been nothing but negative, but this visit he was actually ok. He didn't push his personal views and didn't criticize a differing opinion. He made sure I was aware of medical interventions that might be useful, but accepted it when I declined. I think he may be making changes to improve his negative reputation, and if he keeps this up he may just succeed.

Great doctor good advice doesn’t sugarcoat anything just tells it like it is

There is no other doctor like Dr. Shellman. It’s also evident that he cares about his patients. I like that he is straight forward and to the point, some doctors aren’t .

He's very honest, thorough and knowledgeable. He doesn't sugar coat things when it comes time to get serious about your lungs. This man I know helped improve my breathing my overall lung health in 2020 when a spot was found on my right lung. Yes he was aggressive about testing and procedures because he was making sure he knew exactly how to diagnose me, and he even had another doctor do another procedure to get final diagnosis. I have nothing but the upmost respect for Dr Shellman because he will tell you what you need to hear not what you want to hear, and lots of patients don't like it but I love it and I'm the most compliant when I'm under his care, if he could be my only for everything I would be the most compliant patient lol because when you need told to straighten ur health he's the best for the job.

Straight shooter!

Dr. Shellman is very knowledgeable in his field. However, he makes inappropriate comments. These comments are unnecessary and have nothing to do with the condition of my health.

Dr. Shellman is very good at what he does, but his bedside manner is very demeaning. His approach to certain topics comes across as body shaming and can be very hurtful.

I've seen him one other time and left feeling hopeless and depressed. But this time I was thankful to see him and him treat me with respect and treat my illness

He went off on tangents about doctors making money by helping us live longer and screwing the Social Security and Medicare systems. He also over-shared about his life and vaccinations that he’s had. Lastly, he prescribed a prescription because he does that with all of his patients.

He didn't focus on why we were there. Came away with more questions then answers. What little time we were there he managed to drop the F BOMB AND USE MY GODS NAME IN VAIN. It was disturbing and disappointing. Will not go back to him.

I was there for newly diagnosed of TB. He was more conserved about my weight and sleep apnea. Talked to me about my weight and snoring for 10 minutes and talked about the TB for 1 minutes. Would not recommend

While undeniably knowledgeable in his field, he has no tact and lacks professionalism in his comments. When someone from the team failed to complete the downloading of my CPAP information, his response was "we hire the disabled and unemployable to keep them off the street." As someone closely associated with individuals of varied mental and emotional challenges, I find this to be a rude and somewhat unforgivable statement! If there were another pulmonologist close by, I would most certainly change Drs; as it is, I'm just thankful I will only have to see him annually.

Dr. Spellman is thorough. He had an emergency; the wait time was unusual. His staff was very accommodating to make sure I was comfortable.

The absolute worst human walking the planet

Yesterday wasn't as bad as sometimes. He is just matter of fact and not always as kind. But again yesterday wasn't so in your face. Everything he says is true but if he could tell the same things in a kinder way he would gain more stars.

Wonderful service

The information that he gave me and my wife was great but his delivery of the information was very narcissistic and self centered.

Most knowledgeable doctor I have probably ever been to. The nurses in his practice are also top notch and great on following up.

DR Shell has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have ever met. He is rude, arrogant and down right mean. He talks down to you, he doesn't listen to you and he insults you

I was referred to Dr. Shellman for a condition which needed to be addressed before a surgery could be performed. The surgery is scheduled and it was quite important that Dr. Shellman take care of my problem. Dr. Shellman rambled the entire time about earwax, and that I should get my flu, pneumonia, and shingles vaccines, and that I have osteoarthritis and possible sleep apnea. None of these things had any bearing on my upcoming surgery. He repeatedly told me that his children and his grandchildren and 4 of 5 of his patients pay no attention to him. I was not interested in that either. When I asked him about my immediate problem, I got absolutely no answer. My daughter was with me and she also asked about my concerns, and got no response from him. He indicated several things I could do "in the future" but was not concerned with anything NOW!! After sitting for 45 minutes waiting for him, I received no help toward solving my problem.

Straight to the point enthusiastic about treating patients. Highly recommend
