It was very hard trying to get in touch with my doctor. I got a answering machine, and left my info, and stated the purpose of my call. I didn’t hear from anyone, so I call my local doctor and got a different number to call and got someone on the phone. This was two weeks later. Got an appointment, and arrived on time, but sat there for 1 hour. Other patients came in after I did and saw the doctor I was waiting to see. I went back to the reception window and told her, so she went to check, and I was then called in. My appointment lasted about 10 minutes. I had to drive for over 1 hour to the appointment. My wife was with me and helped me look for something positive from the visit. So I did.

This is my 1st visit but he seemed to understand the pain I have experienced over the years from a serious neck injury. He’s got a plan on where to start his evaluation & the extent of neck damage. I’m scheduled for test and he made me feel like he was wanting to get to the bottom of the issues caused from my neck injury. It’s a start and I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do without surgery. I’m hoping to get relief from my pain in the future. M I want to add that he had a very pleasant professional manner.

He likes to talk a lot about many different things but doesn't stay on the topic of why I'm there. He seems knowledgeable but strikes me as being very ADHD and disorganized. He runs late often and keeps patients waiting for more than an hour. It seems that an early morning appt would not be this way.

I was not very impressed with my 1st appointment with this Dr. In order to get a more timely appointment I set the appointment at his Birmingham office. Soent 1 hour on the drive, my appointment was at 11am and finally left the building a little before 2 pm. I saw the Dr for a total of MAYBE 15 minutes. He apologized for my wait and explained they had mistakenly set up 2 appointments. Obviously my time is not important to the Dr.but this is what you get these days pretty much with the majority of them. You would think we weren't paying through the nose for their services in the 1st place. I was pretty much told the scans I was told bring were too far out of date to be of much g

I had 11a.m. appointment was not called back until 12:00 waited in back 15 minutes before doctor came in and he was rushing. I had more questions, he stepped out to set up tests leaving the impression he was coming back, but he did not return.

Dr Pocaztek was quick to get me in the very next day. He was familiar with the type of surgery that I had in 2004 in Atlanta, Ga. He ordered tests quickly to identify the issues. Dr. Poczatek was very friendly and thorough while explaining the reason for my intense back pain. He showed me my MRI and discussed options for physical therapy and medication. I was very impressed with how down to earth he is and will definitely recommend him.

Dr. Poczatek was cordial and ask some questions about my issues. I wasn't sure he was as familiar with my medical history and what brought me to him. I would have liked more discussion on: (1) what the tests being conducted would reveal (2) what was the possible sources for the symptoms I was experiencing (3) was the numbness, etc. permanent. Perhaps these questions will be addressed at a later time.

He takes his time with each patient. My only concern was I waited in the exam room over 90 minutes and his staff never checked on me to tell anything. I felt like I was forgotten about. I feel as though someone should have came and told me, the doctor is with another patient we apologize for the wait. I waited 2 hours

It was my first visit to Dr. Poczatek office and it was a very friendly and comfortable admiphire.

Dr. Poczatek has a great 'bed side manner'. He discussed what brought me to have this procedure done by him. He talked with me throughout the procedure. And before I left he discussed with me what the results of the procedure were. He also asked how soon I would be seeing the referral physician. I would see him again if needed, and highly recommend him for anyone requiring this procedure.
