Dr Mcconaghey is absolutely wonderful. He has the absolute best bedside manner and addresses my foot needs every time I see him. He doesn’t forget a thing he prepares you if he’s going to do a procedure and it’s never as bad as he says it might be. He is the best there he is. I completely trust him and I’m thankful for his care.

Robert McConekey, D.P.M., joined EmergeOrtho in 2025 after practicing in Wilmington for 23 years, bringing vast experience in a wide range of podiatric conditions affecting the foot and ankle.
A graduate of University of New York at Buffalo, he went on to the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1997. In 2001, he obtained his certification in medical acupuncture at the American College of Acupuncture in New York, NY.
Dr. McConekey has been a prolific researcher and has published medical articles on many topics, including neuropathy, neutropenia, Charcot foot infection, phantom limb pain in amputees, and pain management for patients undergoing orthopedic surgery and for patients with complicated skin and skin structure infections.
