Dr. Hurford is a competent professional. he is patient and never rushes me. he takes time to answer my questions.

Dr Hurford made me feel comfortable, by sitting at my level and chatting about my lower back. He also allowed my dear friend, a registered nurse to be on speaker to join in our conversation.

I felt as if the DR. already had him mind made up on my condition. He didn't want to qualify my systems as a real concern. Pretty much got the impression that we're done.

Felt he just didn’t share enough information about my condition. I left there thinking I will never be out of pain. Get another injection he say. So now you go to another person and pay them a specialty co pay only to schedule another procedure appointment. It’s a racket. When you go to a specialist you expect more answers. Very disappointing. .

Dr. Hurford is a fine doctor, but the administration of SOS needs to be reviewed. We all know there can be unexpected problems, but we arrived a few minutes before our scheduled appointment only to have to wait almost two hours to see Dr. Hurford. That is unacceptable service. Seems like if you are running that far behind you could send your client a text setting the appointment back an hour.

The consult was quite disquieting. I got the impression I was wasting the doctors time. If I was the doctor should talk to his assciates. I did not ask for the consult I was told by his associates I should have a back consult, All my other visits have been for a back problem now I find out from this doctor I have bursitis, Very confusing. At this point I am just going to live with it.

He”s a good doctor. Sensitive to the patients needs.He will not suggest anything that you don’t need.

2 plus hour wait is unexcuaeable for any business

Met with Dr Hurford for cervical surgery on Monday. Office was VERY busy. Check in was easy and fast, very polite staff. Waited 70 min. to see the Dr. He explained a bit about the surgery, had husband sign forms, answered our questions. Brief face-to-face after such a long wait. We have confidence in Dr Hurford's skills.

The office was running a little over an hour behind,and no one told us. It seems if no ones time is valuable but the doctor and the staff. This extremely disappointing. Because of this delay. My JTA paratransit bus left,and I was late getting back to work. It just spiraled.This could have been avoided by simple communication, and an offer to reschedule. Do better.

Dr. Hurfurd gave me a thorough explanation of what my surgery would entail, and what to expect afterwards. He patiently answered all of my questions. I have a good understanding of what to expect.

Was somewhat underwhelmed at the solutions provided. Did not get the sentiment that all too much thinking outside the box was happening, which I had hoped since Dr Hurford has a Phd as well as MD. I had hoped he'd be able to provide more insight and possible treatment plans or solutions, other than the usual. Friendly enough, but again 5 minutes of FaceTime after waiting 3 hours, not sure if it was worth it.

Staff was very courteous. My only complaint is the MRI team imaged the wrong part of my spine and I was not seen by the doc and I have to have a repeat MRI for my spine. This is delaying treatment.

It's been twelve years since I have been to Dr Hurford since he did my surgery in 2010 and 2011. I was very impressed then and still impressed. I would highly recommend him if you need spinal surgery. Hopefully I will not need surgery but I trust his advice.

After waiting for 2 and a half hours past my appointment time, I got to exam room. Dr came in quite a while later. Spent 5-6 minutes with me. I said my appointment was for back injections. He said that was not happening. His PA does them on specific clinical days.I was upset as My pain level is high. Dr Esser and David Bryant left the Ponte Vedra practice. So I was already overdue for injections when that office made the appointment for me. If patients can check in and get out within 45 min. at Ponte Vedra, why are the other locations so backed up. My husband was with me and was furious.

Dr. Harford, we're very concerned and made me comfortable about my surgery to come.

Addresses the medical issue to the point

2 hour wait for appt and then didn’t see the doctor after being called back into a room. Absolutely no excuse for a 2+ hour wait.

Went in for an appointment and didn't get seen for at least 1.5 hours from my actual appointment time. When seen, my MRI was never even discussed. Had x-rays taken and very little was said by the doctor. Seemed like he couldn't get out of the room fast enough. Prescribed medication and an injection along with physical therapy. If that doesn't help then surgery. One of the very worst doctors I have ever seen.

Spent time with me, explained the procedure, why it needed to be done, and results of the surgery.

Dr. Hurford took the time to answer all my questions, and address all my concerns regarding my treatment. He explained every step of my surgery in terms I understood, I will definatley recommend Dr. Hurford and southeast Orthopedics to anyone needing excellent quality care.

Back surgery on lower 3 spine joints rubbing and pinching nerve to left leg. Woke up post op and no pain in left leg any more. Pain in lower back subsided every day and now almost gone. Still have some discomfort in actual surgical area which is slowly subsiding. Continuing post-op at home care for 6 more weeks and then another follow-up visit. Highly recommend Dr Hurford who has been very professional throughout the whole process from first visit till now.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Hurford. I felt as if having an afternoon appointment was not as productive as it may have been if it were early in the day. Dr. Hurford sounded as if he had spent the previous night on-call or had just come from a lengthy surgery, exhausted. I would have appreciated a more detailed explanation of my problem-scoliosis and treatment options. Patient education seems to be a forgotten detail in today’s medical profession.

Never picked up his head to even look or listen to what I was telling him. Felt rushed because it was late and he had multiple patients. I f he was my personal physician I would switch doctors

I had to wait an hour and forty five min Before I saw the Doctor. Doctor patient exchange was great.

After making me wait for an hour and a half, he meanders in, mumbles his name, then does some half-hearted "tests" on my joints, but doesn't listen to a word I said and proceeds to recommend therapy, something I told him I don't have time or money to do. In my opinion, this man should not be called a doctor and should not be paid for services not rendered.

Miracle worker! Before surgery three months ago, I was bent over and dragging one leg behind me. The spinal pain was terrible and affecting both legs constantly. I am only three months post op and can now walk up straight with a walker and with minimal pain in my back and no pain in my legs. With more physical therapy I am sure things will get even better. Definitely thankful to Dr. Hurford for doing the over six hour surgery to help me. Bless him.

I did NOT care for this doctor AT ALL. He appeared very lazy and not engaging at all. My experience with him can be summed up in one phrase: “I was a bother and inconvenience to him.” He can stand some tutoring from Dr. Brett Puckett!

I felt that Dr Hurford took his time, listened to my symptoms/problems and acted on trying to get me moving in the right direction. His referral to a doctor that actually works on injuries such as mine was so welcomed. Though the assistant (CMA, assistant, whatever here title was extremely snobby, almost rude, the visit with Dr Hurford himself was great. He gave me some hope with the referral that there may be a light at the end of this tunnel!

Was running late but, very nice and caring. First impression, I'm very pleased!!!

I like you. You seem direct and professional. You seemed very rushed though. My back is something I’m very worried about and I don’t want to end up in a wheelchair. I’d really like to figure out what’s going on. Better discuss the options. I feel comfortable that you know what you are doing but I want to feel comfortable about what’s going on and what the gamble is with each option

This is all new for me and I am not sure what to do and not do and he is pretty quick with the appointment and acting a little like it isn't that big a deal. This is my neck and spine and I am scared.

Ordered a second MRI and still hasn't even looked at the first one he ordered 3 weeks ago. No difference between the 2 MRIs as far as contrast, just too ignorant to check a patients chart

You don't get much face time with this doctor. Most of the interactions are with his team. However, when you do get to meet with him, he is a good listener and very kind.

I do not want to rate Dr. Hurford low as the first time I seen him he was great. However I was unable to see him yesterday. I had an appointment at 410 and at 5:40 I was told (because I physically went and asked) that he was nehind and there were 3 people in front of me. I had a kid at daycare and could not wait any longer.

Dr Hurford and his staff are top notch. Everything is explained in layman's terms and all our questions were answered. Even thought there was a little bit of a wait, the staff kept us informed.

The wait time was over 11/2 hours. I would have liked a more detailed explanation of my condition.

I was very glad that Dr. Hurford took time to talk to me and listen to my concerns.

I waited almost 2 hours for the doctor to come in for 3 minutes with an attitude as if I were bothering him. He did nothing asking me what I wanted to do. If I wanted to get an MRI, go to physical therapy, or get a shot. Sorry I won’t be back. My husband loves loves it this doctor has made me decide not to return. Thank you

Dr. Hurford is very professional and quickly diagnosed what procedure I needed to get well again and i will get it scheduled.

After 2 hour wait, I felt the Dr was tired and disinterested.

After waiting 1 1/2 hours to see the doctor, he interrupted me several times and did not seem interested in what I wanted to share. Wrote down a procedure I may be interested in doing, and asked me to research it online and let him know if I wanted the procedure. Will not go back to this doctor.

Hour wait. MRI should have been ordered before the visit

Never discussed my X-rays with me. He spent less than 8 minutes w/me. He only told me to get some physical therapy. I honestly don’t feel he was concerned about my overall well-being.

Dr Hurford has explained my options in a plain and easy manner, leaving my option in the direction to go.

Dr. Hurford corrected my lower back pain that I have have for over 5 years. All of his staff have be more than helpful with all of my questions that I have had and really were cheerful on the phone, and nowadays that is a double thumbs up.

I went in for a consult of my MRI and ex rays. They were never brought into the 5 minute meeting. I knew no more coming out of the consult than I went in. I have no info on the condition of my lower back. I was referred to physical therapy with no expectations of what that might accomplish.
