I don’t need to hear a lot of technical information that I don’t understand. Dr Heck is always is to the point about my condition and has never failed to have a solution. He is very professional and to the point with my care options. I completely trust him because of his knowledge and empathy toward me.

The discussion with the doctor was framed more around my age, and less around my current level of activity and desired level of activity. I think it would’ve been better to frame the discussion around activity and less around age. He also seemed reluctant to discuss the root causes of the problem and very much focused on dictated levels of intervention.

Dr. Heck should never be allowed to see trauma patients. He spent less than 3 minutes in the room and said I needed to “exercise more” and “push forward”. He pushed medicine and did not try to help me find a doctor who could help me. I left the room feeling defeated and disgusted.

I can trust Dr. Heck implicitly!! He is straightforward with his communication and he listens to me with compassion. I am so blessed and grateful that he is my orthopedic surgeon.

Like I was a number instead of a person after the initial hello handshake. Again. I might just expect too much. He did treat the area I was referred for so he definitely did his job. Maybe I caught him on a bad day. I have received an exceptional level of service before that set the bar. I know for a fact I was expecting it again. So yeah.

Best experience at a doctor office

I have suffered major hip issues since birth and now at age 54 coming in and needing help, I felt dismissed by Dr. Heck. I didn’t even understand what was truly going on with my diagnosis even after hip and back X-rays. It was just take Meloxicam/therapy and come back in six weeks. I understand that he is teaching his two residents flanked on his sides. Honestly… this was a bad memory from experiencing this same situation as a child in leg braces at the downtown Campbell Clinic starting in 1968 and lasting nine years as their Guinea pig. Wow! I thought Campbell Clinic by now would have made major medical strides… it’s 2023!

Always late. Arrogant, self absorbed, inconsiderate. No amount of pain will bring me back to see him.

Scheduling my appts proved to be quite the hassle. His assistant even had the nerve to tell me, “you should have answered your phone”. Kind of hard to answer my phone when I never got a call in the first place. I live 2 hrs away and have to schedule full days off from work——-only to be told that one of my two appts wasn’t scheduled. Very frustrating!!!!
