Dr. Robert Blotter has been with Advanced Center for Orthopedics since 1999. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Blotter received his bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He then returned to his home state to complete his medical degree at The Ohio State University. After medical school, Dr. Blotter went on to complete a general surgery internship at the University of Utah Health Care in Salt Lake City, Utah. After completing his internship he went on active duty with the U.S. Navy. He completed training at NAMI in Pensacola, Florida to become a Naval Flight Surgeon. Upon completion of his training, he was stationed with the U.S. Marines in Jacksonville, North Carolina for two years. Following that, Dr. Blotter underwent an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California Davis Health System & U.S. Naval Hospital Oakland in Sacramento and Oakland, California.
In addition to treating shoulder, elbow, hand, wrist, hip, knee, foot, ankle, sports medicine, joint, and trauma-related orthopedic injuries and conditions at Advanced Center for Orthopedics, Dr. Blotter serves as a team physician for Northern Michigan University and Marquette Senior High School. In his free time, Dr. Blotter enjoys running, swimming, and providing leadership for Boy Scouts.
Dr. Blotter is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
