Dr. Robert Getter, M.D., is a board-certified and fellowship-trained spinal surgeon at Advanced Orthopedic Center. Prior to joining our team, he was in private practice for 13 years. He provides personalized and minimally invasive surgical care for a comprehensive range of neck and back disorders, including neck pain, back pain, cervical radiculopathy, lumbar radiculopathy (sciatica), myelopathy, scoliosis, lumbar stenosis, cervical stenosis, and spinal fractures.
Dr. Getter completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City. Following residency, he pursued his interest in spinal disorders by completing a combined neurosurgical and orthopedic surgical fellowship at the Spine Institute of Arizona. He is currently an active member of the North American Spine Society.

Very knowledgeable and great personality
Friendly and straightforward. I appreciate his concern and after an. XRAY he referred me back to the orthopedic doctor to take care of my problem.
Dr. Getter was pleasant, professional and very personable. I enjoyed meeting him and would recommend him.I very much liked that he is conservative in regard to a treatment plan.

I wasn't told to bring anything with me. All we did was talk about the same thing from my last visit. This community care stuff is not right. Took forever to get this appointment, nobody tells me what I needed to do Until after the fact. Between the V.A., the provider and myself nobody is communicating with each other.
I had so much pain in my legs from stonisis pressing the nerves he did my spinal surgery and and for the 1st time in 15 months I can walk pain free the pain was minimum from surgery only pressure not really pain walking day 2 I'm at day 13 wound is almost healed, absolutely don't even feel like I've had surgery if it wasn't for lack brutal pain,God has blessed his hands I highly believe in advanced orthopedic I have another and I can add him to list of fabulous Drs at A.O.. I cant say it enough times best of the best, don't hesitate with your trust with the spinal Drs.he is one of the best. I highly recommended
Once he recognized my profile Dr was able to better diagnose my problem and proceed to design a protocol for treatment- going with a conservative approach w/anti inflammatory meds - he did not rule out anything more aggressive - the future will be to come back as needed
Wonderful Doctor! Gets to the point and offers alternatives. Tells you what you need and don’t need. Assistant Wilson is very nice and efficient
