Robert M. Dewhurst, MD, FACC, is board certified in internal medicine. At Bay Area Cardiology Associates PA located in Brandon, Sun City Center, Riverview, and Tampa, Florida, Dr. Dewhurst specializes in clinical cardiology, multi-slice CT coronary angiography, pacemaker, and defibrillator implantation. Dr. Dewhurst completed his residency at the University of South Florida in internal medicine and a subsequent fellowship at the University of South Florida Division of Cardiology in Tampa, Florida. He is involved in clinical cardiovascular research, and his findings have been published in the American Journal of Cardiology. He received his certification in cardiovascular diseases from the American Board of Internal MedicineIn addition, Dr. Dewhurts runs a pulmonary hypertension clinic, diagnosing and treating pulmonary arterial hypertension, using all available classes of medications.
