Dr. Robert Cooper, M.D., attended Texas Tech University and TTU Health Sciences Center where he earned a bachelor degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. After working for a year at Parkland Hospital, he then attended Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine in Lubbock where he obtained his medical degree and served as the Class President of his graduating class. He completed the renowned 3-year Family Medicine Accelerated Track program during medical school. He then completed a 3-year Family Medicine residency with Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Amarillo in 2016 and became board-certified by the American Academy of Family Medicine. During residency, Dr. Cooper obtained his Masters of Public Health from University of North Texas HSC.
He has lived in Parker County with his family for the last 10 years and was recently honored with the designation of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Prior to starting WPFM, he has served as a Chief Medical Officer, County Health Authority, and Medical Director of LTC facilities.
