Felt Dismissed as a Patient
I left my visit feeling more like a number than a patient. The doctor said he’d prescribe something for my pain but stressed it wouldn’t be “anything strong.” Unfortunately, he didn’t submit the paperwork until after my pharmacy was closed, leaving me to wait an extra day for relief. I also reported that Hydrocodone makes me nauseous, and while the nurse said I’d get nausea medication, no prescription was sent. Overall, the lack of urgency and follow-through made me feel dismissed and not taken seriously.

Dr Boswell is the most attentive, hands on, listening doctor I’ve ever had the pleasure to have as my medical advisor. He did all my preop appts before my knee replacement in 2012 and I’m thrilled he will be my surgeon for my shoulder v
