Don’t particularly like to go to Drs. But Dr George is an exception. Knowledgeable personal and pleasant. Like the fact she will order testing when appropriate.

Dr. George was very nice. She was punctual. She took her time and sat down during the visit and asked me twice if there was anything else I wanted to talk about before we wrapped up. The office staff was friendly, and the whole experience went smoothly.

Dr. George enjoys connecting with people one-on-one and helping to educate them on their medical diagnoses. Recognizing that each patient is a unique individual, she works to reduce whatever barriers may prevent a person from getting the best care possible. One of her top rewards as a physician is seeing how an appropriate intervention or medication can have a positive impact on someone’s life.
Most of the adults in Dr. George’s family work in healthcare. Even as a child, she aspired to join in their conversations. Her decision to become a doctor was cemented when she took a college course in physiology, which she found fascinating. After graduating with a BS in biology from Villanova University, she earned her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. She completed her residency at Lonesome Pine Family Medicine in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
In her free time, Dr. George likes to read, listen to podcasts, and go for walks in nature.
