Richard Taavon, M.D.

Dr. Richard Taavon is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Taavon is a Baltimore, MD, native who served in the Air Force prior to joining Wendover OB/GYN & Infertility, Inc. in 1996. He and his wife, who is a nurse, have raised their four children in Greensboro. He enjoys exercise, travel, and Duke Basketball. He was recently listed by the peer reviewed national organization "Best Doctors" as one of the top physicians in the state of North Carolina.

His interests include high risk obstetrics, menopause management, infertility, urinary incontinence, and minimally invasive surgery. He is one of a few gynecologic surgeons nationwide to offer da Vinci, single-site robotic surgery.
