Been seeing Dr. Rowland around 20 years if not over and he’s the only doctor I’ve never walkout on before or during consultation (I’ve walked out on several doctors if I get a bad vibe from them) He’s easy to talk, a good listener, kind and considerate, and has never made me feel I’m exaggerating the reason I’m there to see him.

Dr. Rowland has been my doctor for many years now and besides 3 other Dr's. in different kinds of meds. he has always been my best Dr. toooo this date. I would never change him inless he says I have to and then I would only if he was leaving. So he's stuck with me. I drive a very long ways to see him and I will until I am in no need for a doctor. He's my world to me as my doctor has been and always will be. He's the best. Not filtering with him I am 75 years old. If I was lots younger and we were both single then watch OUT.

My experience with Dr. Rowland was truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and cared for. He took the time to listen to all my concerns without rushing, explained everything clearly, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. Their professionalism, knowledge, and genuine compassion really stood out. I left feeling confident in my care and grateful to have found such an attentive and dedicated doctor. Highly recommend—10/10!

Dr. Richard Rowland, M.D., has over 25 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his residency in family practice and obstetrics at John Peter Smith Hospital. Dr. Rowland grew up in San Antonio and after completing his residency moved to Medina County to practice medicine and raise his family. Dr. Rowland has a long history of time spent in the hospital growing up as his father was also a physician in San Antonio. He knew medicine was in his future but the small town atmosphere was appealing for him to raise his family in. When he is not practicing medicine, you will find him in the air flying his plane or at the lake enjoying the beautiful Medina County sunsets with his family, wife Melissa, and children.
Dr. Rowland’s areas of expertise are family medicine and OB/GYN and he is credentialed with most insurance carriers. He is always accepting new patients and enjoys the continuity of care he can provide to patients of all ages. Dr. Rowland sees patients at the Medical Clinic of Hondo Monday - Friday.
