Hello and Good day.
I have been a patient of Dr. Rowland for many years now.
I met him when I was going to give birth to my 3rd child and my primary doctor at that time was not going to be available for the delivery so Dr.Rowland filled in. He then delivered my 4th child the next year and has been our primary doctor for the last 25 years. Even my oldest children will travel from San Antonio to come see him.
I cannot emphasize the amount of Gratitude, Love and Respect I have for him for always seeking the best medical treatment plan for his patients.
In 2014 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and He moved on it promptly aligning me with a team of Oncology and Surgeons for the Victory over this unwelcome intruder " Mr.C." Through it al he kept my mind and heart full of reassurance and hope and that is why I have so much admiration and respect for the Knowledge and Wisdom he upholds as a Great Physician and Human Being.

Dr. Richard Rowland, M.D., has over 25 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his residency in family practice and obstetrics at John Peter Smith Hospital. Dr. Rowland grew up in San Antonio and after completing his residency moved to Medina County to practice medicine and raise his family. Dr. Rowland has a long history of time spent in the hospital growing up as his father was also a physician in San Antonio. He knew medicine was in his future but the small town atmosphere was appealing for him to raise his family in. When he is not practicing medicine, you will find him in the air flying his plane or at the lake enjoying the beautiful Medina County sunsets with his family, wife Melissa, and children.
Dr. Rowland’s areas of expertise are family medicine and OB/GYN and he is credentialed with most insurance carriers. He is always accepting new patients and enjoys the continuity of care he can provide to patients of all ages. Dr. Rowland sees patients at the Medical Clinic of Hondo Monday - Friday.
