Richard Rowland, MD

Dr. Richard Rowland, M.D., has over 25 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his residency in family practice and obstetrics at John Peter Smith Hospital. Dr. Rowland grew up in San Antonio and after completing his residency moved to Medina County to practice medicine and raise his family. Dr. Rowland has a long history of time spent in the hospital growing up as his father was also a physician in San Antonio. He knew medicine was in his future but the small town atmosphere was appealing for him to raise his family in. When he is not practicing medicine, you will find him in the air flying his plane or at the lake enjoying the beautiful Medina County sunsets with his family, wife Melissa, and children.

Dr. Rowland’s areas of expertise are family medicine and OB/GYN and he is credentialed with most insurance carriers. He is always accepting new patients and enjoys the continuity of care he can provide to patients of all ages. Dr. Rowland sees patients at the Medical Clinic of Hondo Monday - Friday.
