After waiting an hour to be seen he walked in. Looked at my throat, listened to lungs said you’ll get a shot and 10 day antibiotics. 45 seconds max. Walked out without a diagnosis. Later that night I received an alert for a report, logged in and I have bronchitis. Also no cough medicine

The medical assistant Alyssa was awesome.❤️ Dr. Rowland is awesome too. He addressed all my issues and helped me with the clearances for the surgery

Dr Rowland has been my Dr since 2016 he always takes time to answer all my questions and concerns with all the medication I take for my diabetes under his care, for the last 10 years God willing by the end of the year I won’t be a diabetic anymore.. Thank you Dr Rowland

Dr. Richard Rowland, M.D., has over 25 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his residency in family practice and obstetrics at John Peter Smith Hospital. Dr. Rowland grew up in San Antonio and after completing his residency moved to Medina County to practice medicine and raise his family. Dr. Rowland has a long history of time spent in the hospital growing up as his father was also a physician in San Antonio. He knew medicine was in his future but the small town atmosphere was appealing for him to raise his family in. When he is not practicing medicine, you will find him in the air flying his plane or at the lake enjoying the beautiful Medina County sunsets with his family, wife Melissa, and children.
Dr. Rowland’s areas of expertise are family medicine and OB/GYN and he is credentialed with most insurance carriers. He is always accepting new patients and enjoys the continuity of care he can provide to patients of all ages. Dr. Rowland sees patients at the Medical Clinic of Hondo Monday - Friday.
