I have never felt so degraded and belittled by anyone, let alone a physician.
The medical guidelines and diagnostic criteria used in 2026 should not be based on unrealistic expectations that resemble women portrayed in movies from the 1960s. Today's patients come from diverse cultures, races, ethnicities, and body types. Not every woman is naturally built to be thin, and no patient should be made to feel that her worth or health is measured against an outdated ideal.I came to my appointment seeking answers, guidance, and a resolution to my concerns. Instead, I left feeling judged, dismissed, and deeply humiliated. Rather than feeling heard, I felt criticized in a way that has had a lasting emotional impact.Because of this experience, I never want to return to OAWF. What is even more upsetting is that this interaction has affected my trust in healthcare providers. Every time I see one of my other doctors, I will remember how your dismissive and insensitive bedside manner made me feel.
