Richard F. Pell, M.D., is Board Certified in orthopedic surgery. He treats musculoskeletal conditions such as sports injuries, overuse injuries, tendon tears, ligament tears, arthritis, trauma, workers' compensation injuries, and carpal tunnel syndrome. His goal is to treat every patient without surgery when appropriate. Non-operative treatments that Dr. Pell provides include physical therapy, steroid injections, Visco-supplementation, and PRP injections. His surgical areas of interest are shoulder/knee/ankle arthroscopy, shoulder/hip/knee total joint replacements, upper and lower extremity tendon repairs, upper and lower extremity trauma, and carpal tunnel release.
Dr. Pell earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Virginia Military Institute. He earned a Doctorate in Medicine from the Eastern Virginia Medical School.
