Dr. Owens comes with an exquisite background for his surgery expertise, including engineering. He talks straight as you go through preparation and a series of post-ops, explaining ex-rays and relating them to your current progress as well as possible, but not inevitable possible future complications.

Dr. Owens has replaced one of my ankles with an artificial one and reconstructed my other foot. Both operations were performed a few years ago. Both went well and I have had little to no problems since. All my follow ups with him have been frank, sincere, informed and useful. I wish more of the doctors had Dr. Owens demeanor. P.S. I suspect his Air Force background has something to do with it.

I went to Richard Owens after a FAILED surgery on my Achilles Tendon /Calcaneous Spur..... So needless to say I was very apprehensive to trust another surgeon.... Dr. Owens continuously went above and beyond to take care of me. His confidence and experience put all my worries at ease .I totally trusted him... I'm so far so good he did a great job repairing what was messed up the first time

Dr Owens is professional & patient oriented an excellent surgeon who was unaware of the practice clinic staff not responding to 5 or 6 calls to schedule f/u appt for review of weight baring CT scan STAFF ARE TOO OVERPROTECTIVE OF PATIENTS GETTING TO TALK WITH PHYSICIAN messages are apparently not getting from front office staff to clinical staff

I have been going a few years with pain in my feet with 2 different Dr telling me it was something different. 1 visit with Dr Owens and he identified I am having 2 different issues that is causing my different pains. And have a treatment plan.

While I really liked Dr Owens, my only complaint was that I sat in the exam room for 35 minutes before he came in. I understand that emergencies come up; but feel a patient needs to be informed of that.

Surgery did not improve my symptoms or the problem but made them worse. I feel this was due to poor judgment and mistakes made by the physician.
