In addition, he completed fellowships in Neuro-ophthalmology and clinical Neuro-electrophysiology at Iowa.
Before leaving academics in 1998 to establish his surgical practice at Eye Care Physicians & Surgeons, Dr. Neahring served for two years as a Clinical Fellow Associate in both the departments of Ophthalmology and Neurology at the University of Iowa. Dr. Neahring has also served as president of Marion-Polk Medical Society from 2004 to 2006.
