Richard J. Guillot, M.D., FAAAAI, FACAAI

Meet Dr. Richard Joseph Guillot, an esteemed Allergy and Clinical Immunology specialist with a notable career. Born in Galliano, Louisiana, he pursued a path in medicine through Pre-med studies in Biochemistry at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He earned his B.S. In Biochemistry, with a minor in Chemistry, from Louisiana State University in 1981.

He obtained his M.D. from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1989. His training included Internal Medicine and General Surgery internships and an Internal Medicine Residency at LSU Medical Center, New Orleans. He refined his expertise through Fellowship Training in Allergy & Clinical Immunology.

Dr. Guillot is certified by the American Board of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (1997-2027) and the American Board of Internal Medicine (1996-2006).

Licensed in Louisiana and North Carolina, he made impactful contributions across various healthcare institutions. Noteworthy roles include Emergency Room Physician in various hospitals in his early career, and 27 years of clinical experience In Allergy & Clinical Immunology, including 13 years in solo practice at Northshore Allergy & Immunology, LLC in Covington, LA.

His affiliations encompass his Fellowship in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, as well as a member of the North Carolina Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is an active participant in other medical societies.”

As a Clinical Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University Medical Center, he advanced medical education. He has been a Principal and Sub-Investigator in various clinical trials during his private clinical practice years, contributing to the medical literature.
