Dr. Richard Herman was born and raised in Carrollton before moving to Atlanta at age 11. He is a graduate of The Westminster Schools in Atlanta and received his bachelor of science degree in Biology from the University of Mississippi.
While teaching science at the Wesleyan School in Atlanta, Dr. Herman began his lifelong pursuit of becoming a physician. He went on to graduate from the Medical College of Georgia with his doctorate of Medicine and then completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Augusta University Health System.
Most recently, Dr. Herman completed a Hand & Upper Extremity (hand, elbow, shoulder) fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. It was a natural fit for Dr. Herman to return to Carrollton to begin his medical career.
Dr. Herman is married with 3 boys and the family resides in Carrollton.
