IIt's very hard. He didn't stay long enough for me to ask all the questions. Told me I have immaculate degeneration. Then wanted out of the room so fast. I wasn't even there for that. I was there due to problems from my surgery.

Richard Casey, M.D., FACS, is a board-certified ophthalmologist in Los Angeles, CA specializing in Advanced Cataract and Laser Refractive Surgery, Corneal Transplants, and Complex Anterior Segment Reconstruction of the eye.
A Los Angeles native, Dr. Casey attended Occidental College before moving to Boston where he received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. Eager to further his education, Dr. Casey's next step was the completion of his ophthalmology residency and cornea subspecialty fellowship training at the world-renowned Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, the primary teaching hospital for Harvard Ophthalmology.
Dr. Casey then came back home and joined the UCLA faculty in 1990. He is a Health Sciences Clinical Professor Emeritus at the Jules Stein Eye Institute of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
He was formerly a member of the faculty at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, serving as Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology from 1998 to 2007. Dr. Casey served as President and CEO of the Los Angeles Ophthalmology Medical Group (LAOMG) from 2008-2015. In this capacity, he supervised a team of ten eye physicians and surgeons who provided medical and surgical care for patients at the Martin Luther King Jr. Multi-Specialty Ambulatory Care Center, a division of the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services.
Dr. Casey is now a member of Atlantis Eyecare. He currently serves as the Director of Cornea Services for the Los Angeles and South Bay Regions. Now, with nearly 30 years of experience, having performed thousands of surgical procedures and clinical evaluations, he is eager to provide the community with expert eye care to all those in need.
Dr. Casey is married and has a beautiful daughter and he enjoys supporting the local sports teams.
