Dr. Richard Bassett started his career as a physical therapist and enjoyed working with patients who had hip and knee replacements, so he decided to go back to school to specialize in hip and knee arthroplasty as an orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Bassett enjoys seeing his patients improve their function and daily activities with less pain.
Dr. Bassett wants his patients to understand their specific orthopaedic condition and provide them with all alternatives of care, including all the available conservative and surgical options. Dr. Bassett hopes to give his patients improved quality of life with less pain.
In his free time, Dr. Bassett enjoys following the stock market. He likes boating and snow skiing with his family as well as watching his children in their sporting events.

Took x-rays and explained the issue. He listened to my concerns.
Understood my issue and addressed it quickly and effectively. Prescribed follow up treatment and sent referral for therapy. Administered an effective trigger point injection that provided immediate pain relief.
First visit. It was a pleasure meeting Dr. Bassett. Although my problem was my back, he gave me several referrals. If I ever have any hip problems, Dr. Bassett will be the Dr. I see!
Dr Bassett is always professional, thorough and pleasant. I feel very comfortable with his diagnosis . I recommend you change the picture on the website. He looks a lot better now after the weight loss.
