Dr. Bassett is a rock star in our area. Anyone who has had him as their surgeon recommends him and plans to return for other any other hip or knee surgeries they might need in the future. I asked around a LOT before my hip replacement and feel extremely fortunate to have had him do mine. Now, I’m going back to him for a knee replacement. I’ve never heard ANYTHING negative about him and I talked with many, many people, in our community, when I was looking for a surgeon.

I came to see him for knee pain. He never even touched my knee, or manipulated it, nothing. I've seen ortho Dr's for 40 yrs, and always they bend my knee, move it around, and listen to the sounds it makes. This Dr stayed 6 ft away, and just looked at the X-rays. Dr's these days don't even touch their patients, so how can they truly diagnose what's going on?

Replaced my left hip and the leg ended up being 3/4 in longer than my right leg. I had to go through another surgery to adjust the joint. Hopefully it solves the problem without weaking the hip so that it is susceptible to popping out of place.

He is the 4th Dr I have visited for the same problem. Each one gets their sizable co pay then reccomends me to another specialist. He spent less than 10 mins with me but did refer me to get either a CT scan or an MRI. He wasn't sure since I have a stainless steel heart valve. Would not go back to him
