She was named one of Portland’s Top Doctors in 2014 and 2017 by Portland Monthly Magazine. She is experienced in complex cataract surgery and advanced intraocular lens surgery. Her special area of interest is the surgical management of cataracts in patients with complicated underlying eye diseases such as retinal disease, inflammatory eye disease, and glaucoma.
During her time as Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at OHSU, Dr. Armour served as Associate Residency Program Director and was instrumental in training the next generation of ophthalmology residents to be excellent physicians and surgeons. She also served as Director of Medical Student Education in Ophthalmology. At OHSU she received Distinguished Service Awards and Teaching Awards. She is an Examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Armour grew up in Michigan, and received her undergraduate degree from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and her M.D. from Michigan State University. She completed an ophthalmology residency at Casey Eye Institute, OHSU. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, violin, and spending time with her husband and three children.

Although our time with Dr. Armour was brief, she was thorough and to the point. The earlier part of the visit with the technician was also very good, and the whole facility was clean, pleasant, and well organized.
Been seeing Dr. Armour for several years. She has seen me through several challenges. I always have complete confidence in her diagnosis and treatment.
