General Hospital and The Brooklyn Hospital Center (2002-2004), where he served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Raveendra Orugunta, M.D., is a dedicated pediatrician with over 20 years of experience in the medical field. He has a passion for providing community-based care and has practiced in India, Jamaica, and New York City before settling in Cary, NC, in 2008.
He earned his medical degree (MBBS) from Sri Venkateswara Medical College in Tirupati, India, from 1985-1990, and completed his internship at SVRR Govt. General Hospital in 1991. He completed his first Pediatrics residency at SVRR Govt. General Hospital from 1992-1995. After moving to the U.S., he completed a second Pediatrics residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center from 2002-2004, where he served as Chief Resident in Pediatrics from 2004-2005.
In addition to his general outpatient practice, Dr. Raveendra has three years of experience working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Inpatient pediatrics, and the pediatric emergency room. He is a great listener, patient, and is committed to following evidence-based medicine. His special interests include children with ADHD and treating minor injuries.
Dr. Raveendra is married to Dr. Nanga, and they are proud parents of two boys. He has fallen in love with the vibrant and beautiful Cary area, where he and his family have decided to stay and retire.
