Dr. Ranjit Banwait, M.D., is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Hematology & Oncology. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island, and his Master of Medical Sciences from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Central Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
He went on to complete fellowships in Geriatric Medicine and Hematology & Oncology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
He maintains professional memberships with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the International Society of Geriatric Oncology. He has also received multiple honors, including a Merit Award from ASCO, a Young Investigator Research Grant Award from the Association of VA Hematology/Oncology, Outstanding Abstract Awards from both the Texas Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology, and the Royal College of Surgeons Ethics Award.
