Ramatia M. Mahboobi, MD

Dr. Ramatia M. Mahboobi, M.D., joined National Spine & Pain Centers in February, 2013. He earned his medical degree at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran, where he launched his professional career. He migrated to the United States in 2005 to further his training and develop a broader understanding of the science and clinical aspects of pain medicine.

He successfully completed a prestigious research fellowship in the division of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, one of the nation’s busiest and most prominent pain clinics, where he subsequently completed his Anesthesiology residency and advanced fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management.

An advocate for continuing education, Dr. Mahboobi dedicates considerable time to exploring advances in pain management techniques and emerging therapies. He is skilled in a variety of diagnostic specialties and treatment modalities, including fluoroscope- and ultrasound-guided interventional procedures.

Dr. Mahboobi believes the goal of pain management should be improving patients’ quality of life, and that a personalized, multi-disciplinary approach is the key to successful patient care programs. He is lauded by peers and patients alike for his affable and compassionate personality and patient care philosophy.

Dr. Mahboobi is board-certified in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology and maintains membership in the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and International Association for the Study of Pain.

Fluent in Farsi, Dr. Mahboobi enjoys playing soccer, snowboarding, swimming and spending quality time with his family.
