I met Dr. Maxy today for the first time to get to know him and to discuss my upcoming neck surgery. He was not only very nice and friendly, but was extremely informative about what to expect before, during and after surgery. I felt like I was a person he truly cared about and not just a number. I know when I do have my surgery, I will be in good hands!!

Dr. Maxy has authored a number of scientific papers and has made presentations at national orthopedic and North American Spine Society meetings.
He is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in treating adult and pediatric spinal disorders. His interests include the use of a variety of techniques including minimally invasive lumbar laminectomy and fusion procedures.
His practice encompasses the treatment of a wide variety of spinal conditions including scoliosis, lumbar degenerative disorders, disc herniations, and spinal neoplasm.
Dr. Maxy joined EmergeOrtho in August of 2000 and serves the Burke and Catawba communities. He resides in Hickory with his wife, Rachele, and two very energetic sons.
