Ralph Cook, MD

Ralph W. Cook, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, knee, and shoulder surgery, as well as general orthopedics and fracture care.

A native of Reading, PA, he graduated summa cum laude from the College of William and Mary with a B.S. degree in chemistry and was the recipient of the Llanso-Sherman and Reeves research fellowship awards. He attended medical school at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine where he spent a year performing translational orthopedic research. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and completed his fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at The Rothman Institute of Thomas Jefferson University.

He has served as an Assistant Team Physician for the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies professional sports teams along with the Villanova University Wildcats, St. Joe's University Hawks, Eastern University Eagles, and Cabrini College Cavaliers, along with multiple local high schools. These experiences have given him insight into the nuances of managing common injuries encountered by weekend warriors and elite athletes alike. He provides customized care plans for a wide range of common athletic conditions affecting the shoulder, knee, and elbow.

Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, basketball, and spending time with his family, including his young son and dog, Penny.
