Dr. Rakesh Shah, M.D., provides care for patients with cardiac, vascular, cardiometabolic conditions, and advanced heart failure in the outpatient setting. He is a skilled clinician who was responsible for performing the first of several types of minimally invasive heart procedures in Bucks County.
Dr. Shah notes that heart disease affects everyone either directly or indirectly. He begins each patient relationship by seeking to understand the person’s everyday needs and challenges — including internal and external stressors — then crafts a solution around his findings. This includes educating the patient to promote the best possible outcome and enable them to share information that may positively affect the health of their loved ones.
Dr. Shah earned his medical degree from Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital, where he also received fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine. In addition, he has served as the principal investigator or a sub-investigator on over 50 clinical research trials.
Having consistently delivered high-quality results in clinical settings, Dr. Shah obtained an MBA from the University of Oxford to further his commitment to achieving better outcomes in healthcare administration, practice management, and access to cardiovascular care.
Outside of work, Dr. Shah enjoys cooking, exercising, and developing content for an Instagram channel focused on heart health. He’s also learning Spanish.
