Dr. Rajeeve Subbiah, M.D. was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Dr. Subbiah has always had an interest in science and technology. He graduated with honors from Purdue University with a degree in electrical and computer engineering and a minor in business administration. He had worked in consulting and construction, however, he soon realized he was missing something. The humanistic side of him always wanted to find a way to apply all this cutting-edge technology to help people so he shifted to a career in medicine.
Dr. Subbiah received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He went on to complete both his residency and cardiology fellowship at Temple University Hospital. He went on to complete his interventional cardiology and vascular training fellowship at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. He has been practicing in the Bartow/Cartersville Georgia area since 2017.
Dr. Subbiah has published several peer-reviewed articles and presented at national conferences on topics related to coronary artery disease, post-thrombotic syndrome and pulmonary hypertension. His expertise is in coronary artery disease interventions, valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure, interventional ventricular assist devices, arrythmias, pulmonary hypertension, peripheral artery disease interventions in addition to vascular disease. He is board certified in internal medicine, general cardiology, nuclear cardiology and interventional cardiology. He is the chief of medical staff at Piedmont Cartersville Hospital and has held various leadership roles in healthcare organizations.
Dr. Subbiah enjoys spending his free time traveling, hiking, fishing, golfing, playing tennis, and learning about food and wine. He usually can be found on weekends spending time with his family in the beautiful outdoors of northwest Georgia.
