Dr. Pandarinath’s approach is to focus on each patient as an individual, assess their unique issues and goals, and come up with a customized plan to return them to their desired activities. He works in collaboration with a team of physical therapists, nurses, and athletic trainers, and believes in a multidisciplinary approach to treating patients. He takes care of a variety of problems, including shoulder (rotator cuff disorders, instability, arthritis, clavicle fractures, shoulder separations), hips (stress fractures, hip impingement), knees (ligament injuries, patellar instability, ACL/PCL/MCL/LCL tears, cartilage restoration, complex knee surgery), and ankles (Achilles ruptures, ankle sprains). He also does general orthopedic care as well as fracture care.
Dr. Pandarinath is a native of North Carolina, and attended Duke University for his undergraduate education, followed by medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his orthopedic residency at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles and did a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, where he worked with athletes at all levels, including professional (Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers, 76ers, Phillies) and collegiate (St. Joseph’s University).
In addition to his orthopedic practice, Dr. Pandarinath is also active in numerous national societies, including AAOS (American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons) and AOSSM (American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine). He is on various national committees and has published research that has been presented at national meetings.
Friendly, delightful, good result from surgery.
while my problem was not specific enough for his specialty, he totally understood what I needed and guided me to the right person in the practice.
Even though he is not my primary knee doctor, he gave me great care, answered all the questions and was very friendly. I really appreciated his help today!
He took the time to respond my questions in a clear manner, allowing me to move forward with surgery to repair my meniscus tear.
Very professional and kind.
He was very nice, but I had some questions that remained unanswered. I would have liked Dr. Pandarinath to have answered the questions I asked about my symptoms when the assistant was taking my history. He skimmed one of my voiced concerns, perhaps he was too busy.
Dr. Pandarinath did my recent meniscus repair surgery. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all of my questions, and is eager for me to get better! I just need a little bit more reassurance and detailed instructions, so I would have liked him to slow down a bit in his approach. But overall, a very nice guy and a positive experience! And, I think I am going to have great results with my knee! Thank you, Dr. Pandarinath!
Clear, pleasant.
I appreciate that Dr. Pandarinath was able to see me relatively quickly, and that we were able to see what the problem was (left knee) and get some relief, with a longer term plan.
Really great experience. Let me know exactly what was wrong and a solid course of action.
